Kasey has lived her life as an advocate. She spent time in the foster care system before being legally emancipated and moving out on her own while still a senior in high school. Kasey worked hard, graduated with honors and was admitted to Augustana University. After spending time as an intern for Senator Tim Johnson in Washington, D.C., Kasey found her passion to help others. She received dual bachelor’s degrees from Minnesota State University, Mankato, before being admitted to the University of South Dakota, School of Law. Since graduating from law school, Kasey has dedicated a large portion of her career to helping children in the abuse and neglect system and giving back to the community. ASHLEY’S BACKGROUND
Ashley grew up in Harrisburg, South Dakota, where she always had dreams of being an advocate. Her passion led her to the University of South Dakota where she received a degree in criminal justice. Her next steps immediately took her to the doors of the University of South Dakota School of Law.
After receiving her law degree, Ashley began her career by representing people accused of crimes. She became a successful criminal defense lawyer because she threw her heart and soul into each case without expecting anything in return. After honing her skills in criminal defense, Ashley dove into civil litigation where she has successfully represented clients in the most complex civil cases against the toughest opponents. Her intuition and honesty are the main ingredients to her uniqueness which has made her a successful advocate in all areas of law.
